Technical Seminar Addresses Industry Challenges with a Digital Knitting Ecosystem

During the technical seminar, the Cixing team shared insights into the key challenges facing today's knitting industry, including data silos, high sampling costs, and inefficient communication across the supply chain. To address these issues, Cixing introduced its Digital Knitting Ecosystem, an integrated solution covering equipment, software, and digital resources.

1. Three Core Digital Platforms

The ecosystem is built on three core digital platforms: a Public Pattern Database, an Enterprise Private Database, and the Model Plus Intelligent Programming System. Together, they enable manufacturers to access extensive knitting resources while building their own digital assets, creating long-term technical advantages and differentiated competitiveness.

2. One-Stop Digital Design Resource Platform

Cixing also introduced an integrated design resource platform featuring the Pattern Mall and Knitted Swatch Library. The platform contains more than 4,000 machine-tested knitting patterns, with over 200 new patterns added every month. Each design includes complete production parameters, allowing users to download and knit directly on the machine.

The platform supports intelligent tag-based search, 3D simulation preview, online color replacement, and one-click downloading of complete knitting data. By simply scanning a QR code, users can preview knitted swatches and finished garments on mobile devices, making customer communication more efficient without carrying physical samples.

To protect customers' intellectual property, enterprises can establish exclusive private pattern libraries where purchased patterns are immediately taken off the platform upon purchase. Additionally, the platform features a full suite of stable production templates, with free access to a wide range of style and pattern modules.

3. Digital Simulation Software Developed in Europe

Cixing also presented advanced digital software developed by its European R&D teams.

The Italian-developed Yarn Digitalization & 3D Simulation Software accurately reproduces real yarn textures through scanning technology, supports custom yarn libraries, virtual yarn replacement, color adjustment, and lighting simulation. It can also identify programming issues by scanning knitted fabrics while generating realistic 3D garment simulations, significantly reducing the frequency of physical sampling.

Meanwhile, the Swiss-developed Model Plus Programming System includes hundreds of thousands of standardized templates. For knit-to-shape production, knitted panels can automatically match suitable templates, lowering the technical barrier to pattern making while boosting automated sampling efficiency.

● Building the Future of Intelligent Knitting

For many years, Cixing has remained committed to developing intelligent knitting equipment while continuously integrating machinery, software, and digital design resources into one complete ecosystem.

With the successful conclusion of the Dongguan Exhibition and Technical Seminar, Cixing will continue advancing digital innovation and next-generation computerized flat knitting machines, empowering worldwide knitting manufacturers with smarter production, building a shared knitwear ecosystem to drive high-quality digital transformation across the industry.
