Founded in 1988 and successfully listed on the stock market in 2012 (Stock Code: 300307), Ningbo Cixing Co., Ltd. has grown through more than 30 years of development with the mission of driving industry transformation and creating value for customers. Today, CIXING has become the world’s largest manufacturer of intelligent computerized flat knitting machines and a leading enterprise in China’s advanced intelligent knitwear equipment industry. The company has broken foreign monopolies and is among the first in China to possess R&D and production capabilities for computerized flat knitting machines, intelligent shoe-upper knitting machines, automatic sewing machines, and knit-to-shape computerized flat knitting machines.
CIXING is committed to enhancing knitting machinery technology, advancing knitting craftsmanship, and promoting the intelligent upgrading of the knitting industry. With strong independent R&D capabilities and continuous technological innovation, the company has mastered the core technologies of intelligent knitting machinery. It is the leading drafter of six national and industry standards and has filed over 1,300 patents, including 162 authorized invention patents. CIXING has been honored with the National Science and Technology Progress Award (Second Prize) and recognized as a National Manufacturing Single Champion. The company currently has more than 1,600 employees, with its Hangzhou Bay New District Industrial Park covering 297,000 m² (73 acres) and the Baisha Industrial Park covering 123,000 m² (30 acres).

Our Development
1998
In 1988, Ningbo Cixing Co., Ltd. was established. Its main products were hand-operated and semi-automatic flat knitting machines, enabling the Cixing Group to expand and enter the flat knitting machinery industry.
2003
In 2003, Ningbo Yuren Knitting Machine Co., Ltd was established, and began to develop and produce computerized flat knitting machines. Since then, Cixing Group has become the world's largest manufacturer of computerized flat knitting machines.
2010
In 2010, the company completed the reform of the shareholding system of enterprises. At the same time, Cixing Group acquired Switzerland Steiger, the world's third largest brand of flat knitting machine manufacturing with 70 years of history, which also promoted the company's technology research and development to a new level. So far, Switzerland Steiger is our largest overseas R&D organization (research and development).
2011
In 2011, sales of the company’s computerized flat knitting machines exceeded RMB 3 billion.
2012
In 2012, the company went public onto the stock market, becoming the first listed enterprise in China's flat knitting machine industry.
2015
In 2015, the industry extended the field of intelligent manufacturing, developing a flexible supply chain platform for knitted shoes and clothing, created shoes and clothing automation, and explored a new mode of intelligent manufacturing.
2016
In 2016, the company was awarded the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and, in the same year, was recognized as a National Intelligent Manufacturing Pilot and Demonstration Enterprise.
2017
In 2017, the company was awarded the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award and, in the same year, was recognized as a National Intelligent Manufacturing Pilot and Demonstration Enterprise.
2018
In 2018, on the 30th anniversary of entrepreneurship, the company officially launched the knit to shape computerized flat knitting machine.
2019
In 2019, Cixing Intelligent Industry College was jointly established with College of Science & Technology Ningbo University, providing many excellent talents for the company and the industry.
2020
In 2020, the sales of knit to shape flat knitting machine reached 1000 sets, which was recognized by customers, and laid a solid foundation for Cixing's future development.
2021
In 2021, the KS series knit to shape computerized flat knitting machine has been recognized as the first of its kind in China. This marks a significant breakthrough in technological innovation and manufacturing development, and serves as an important driving force for the future of the industry.
2022
In 2022, Cixing has established a postdoctoral programme.
2023
In 2023, Cixing has comprehensively advanced the digital transformation of its enterprise management, providing strong momentum for business upgrading and transformation. In the same year, sales of flat knitting machines reached 30,000 units.
2024
In 2024, we established Cixing Shanghai knit-to-shape R&D Center, elevate “knit infinite possibilities” as our company’s development vision.
CIXING · STEIGER ‘Knit to Shape’ RESEARCH INSTITUTE
To better serve industrial chain clients, Cixing leverages its R&D platform in Shanghai's Hongqiao area while establishing " Cixing·Steiger ‘Knit to Shape’ Research Institutes" in major domestic knitting and sweater industrial clusters—including Tongxiang (Zhejiang), Qinghe (Hebei), Haiyang (Shandong), Dalang (Guangdong), and Jinjiang (Fujian). With strong support from local governments, these institutes cater to regional industry character istics and client needs by providing full lifecycle services such as pre-sale prototyping, post-sale mobile support, ‘Knit to Shape’ sample design and development, factory digital transformation, and yarn/material sourcing. Together with its partners, Cixing is driving technological innovation and high-quality development in China's knitting industry
